"Children Of The Skull" is a story of twin brothers who get lost in a cursed forest, finding themselves unable to escape. Eventually, the dark magic of the forest turns them into monsters. The first half of the track is dark and sad, representing one brother’s depression and inability to cope with the monster he has become, while the second half of the song, while still dark, is more cheerful, representing the other brother who embraced his new form, blissful in his immortality.
