"Summer's Gloom" was a natural choice for the album “single”. It’s dark and edgy while also being the most straightforward song on the album. It’s also the oldest track out of all of them, having been written many years ago and intended to be recorded on my 2019 album, but I decided to save it for a future release. I’m glad that I did, because it fits in with this album perfectly. The song is about the coming of autumn; saying goodbye to summer while also being hopeful about the inevitable return of the season.
